Your responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed shutdown plans, including schedules and budgets, ensuring optimal cost control and preparation quality.
  • Coordinate all shutdown preparation activities by liaising with Procurement, Technical Departments, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Lead and oversee shutdown execution when assigned as Shutdown Leader.
  • Provide planning and coordination support during plant breakdowns to ensure rapid, effective response.
  • Support the planning and execution of major maintenance activities to secure safe, efficient operations.

Your profile:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline.
  • Solid knowledge of process industry equipment (e.g., rotating machinery, piping, heat exchangers, pressure systems) as well as familiarity with insulation, scaffolding, lifting and rigging, cranes, workshop techniques, vessels, bolting, welding, safety relief devices, and NDT inspection. Basic understanding of instrumentation, control systems, and electric motors is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a maintenance, reliability, or technical role within the process industry.
  • Ideally 5–10 years’ experience in supervising teams or coordinating contractors during shutdowns or major maintenance events.
  • Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written). A valid driver’s license and passport are required.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly to European-wide plant sites, suppliers, or contractors as needed (ca: 40% of the time). A valid driver’s license is required
